It’s amazing how your skin can be one way in one location and completely different in another. Case in point: our recent trip to London. After traveling thousands of miles, my combination/acne prone skin turned dry, flakey and acne free. London was not lacking moisture by any means (it rained daily) but my face felt parched.

A friend of mine was having lip issues – a problem which I also suffer from: dryness and flaking. I asked to see what she was using and she handed over a pile of petroleum products including the petroleum jelly itself. Working in the skincare industry for so long now, I’ve gleaned more knowledge of skincare ingredients than the average person – which works to my advantage when selecting products. If friends and family have an issue, they’re always coming to me for a solution.

I spent much of my New Year’s break cleaning like a crazy lady and catching up on chores around the house that I just don’t have time to do on a normal weekend. I organized my garage, bathrooms, closets, even my cosmetic bag and man did it feel good. New Year; New House! All this cleaning got me thinking: where else are those pesky germs lurking?
